VOIVOD have announced a 10-city U.S. tour for October 2026, with support from Richmond, Virginia metal-punk trio BAT.
The tour kicks off October 8 in Youngstown, Ohio, and runs through October 18 in Newport, Kentucky, hitting cities including Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Richmond, Orlando, Atlanta, Raleigh and Asheville along the way.
The trek continues a stretch of shows fronted by Eric Forrest, who has stepped in on vocals and bass after longtime frontman Denis "Snake" Bélanger sat out VOIVOD's summer and fall 2026 dates to address a family matter. The band has noted health challenges affecting both Snake's partner and Forrest himself during this period, prompting a GoFundMe campaign to support the situation.
Formed in Jonquière, Quebec in 1982, VOIVOD remains one of metal's most consistently forward-thinking bands, having spent more than four decades pushing thrash and progressive metal into increasingly experimental territory. The band's nine-member touring and recording configuration in recent years reflects an approach built on flexibility, with musicians rotating in as circumstances require rather than disrupting the band's overall momentum.
