ALEYA have released "Follow Me", the second single of the year from their forthcoming EP "How It Ends". It landed on August 21 across all major digital platforms.

The North West England four-piece deal in a finely tuned onslaught: cathartic intensity laced with anthemic hooks, a hard-hitting rhythm section, atmospheric synths and intricate dynamic breakdowns. What holds it together is their balance of explosive aggression against melodic fervour, and "Follow Me" leans hard on both.

Lyrically it is about a particular kind of severance — letting go of relationships with people who maintain the connection purely for their own advantage. It is a companion of sorts to April's "Sapphire Skies", which took aim at those who spread insidious world views to serve a personal agenda; we covered that single when it arrived.

The track was produced by Dan Fox at Treehouse Studio, who also handled "Sapphire Skies". The result is pitched at listeners who lean toward HOLDING ABSENCE, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and WE CAME AS ROMANS, and it continues to sharpen a genre-fusing identity that has made ALEYA one of the more credible rising voices in UK metal.

The independent outfit is Tom Evans (vocals), Sam Lawson (guitars), Mike Washington (bass) and James Wright (drums). More details on "How It Ends" are due in the coming weeks as further singles roll out.

A short UK tour follows in November in support of the EP, with full dates still to be announced. Before that, ALEYA share a stage with melodic hardcore outfit DOWNPOUR at the Deaf Institute in Manchester on September 20.
