KRALLICE Share 'Kill The Guardian' — And Announce 28 Dates For Their First Ever European Tour

KRALLICE have released "Kill The Guardian", the second single from "Scour Order", out September 18 via Profound Lore Records. Alongside it, the New York band have confirmed the full routing for the first European tour of their eighteen-year existence.

Co-founder Colin Marston explained where the track sits on the record. "'Kill The Guardian' is the other song on the record where all three of us have vocal verses. It was initiated by Mick Barr and collaboratively arranged," he said. "We call this song 'porridger'. It's soupy and nutritious."

He also pointed at the album's unusual origin: "Thanks to Walter, Becky, and all at Roadburn for commissioning the new music on this album." The Dutch festival commissioned the material outright and hosted its live debut at Roadburn 2026 — which makes "Scour Order" one of the rare black metal albums that existed as a festival commission before it existed as a record.

We covered the album announcement and first single "Living Useless Ritual" in July. "Scour Order" returns the band to their original two-guitar setup, with Marston and Barr on guitars and Nicholas McMaster on bass.

For a band nine albums deep, KRALLICE have toured strikingly little, having always prioritised writing and recording. What runs they have done came with WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, GORGUTS, PORTAL, LUDICRA, WITHERED, VAMPILLIA, PALE CHALICE and, most recently, BLOOD INCANTATION, plus three appearances at Maryland Deathfest and sets at Incubate and Roadburn.

"Scour Order" arrives on CD, 2xLP and digital. Pre-orders are at linktr.ee/scourorder, where "Living Useless Ritual" can also be streamed.
