EPICA sold out the Royal Albert Hall in less than three days. They have now announced the tour that show belongs to: "The Symphonic Synergy", eleven nights across ten European countries in September and October 2027, with a full orchestra and choir on every stage.
The format is not new to the band, but it has only existed twice. In 2024 EPICA performed with orchestra and choir in Amsterdam and Mexico City, four nights that drew more than 30,000 people between them. The 2027 run rebuilds that production and reshapes it around the band's 25th anniversary — EPICA formed in the Netherlands in 2002 and released "The Phantom Agony" the following year.
Eleven dates is a deliberately short list for a production this size, and the Royal Albert Hall night we reported on September 1 is already gone. Tickets for the rest go on general sale on September 18 at 10:00 CEST through the band's own site.
The line-up carrying it is the one that has held for years: Simone Simons on lead vocals against Mark Jansen's growls, Isaac Delahaye on guitar, Coen Janssen writing and playing the orchestral arrangements, Ariën van Weesenbeek on drums and Rob van der Loo on bass. Janssen's arrangements are the reason this works live with a real orchestra rather than a backing track — they were written as orchestral parts in the first place.
EPICA's most recent studio album is "Aspiral", their ninth, released in April 2025 via Nuclear Blast.
