EXHORDER will spend the rest of the year on the road. The Tour Of Unsound Minds: Act II opens on September 25 in Dunbar, West Virginia and runs through October 18 in Evansville, Indiana — twenty dates, and the New Orleans band's last of 2026. Tickets are on sale now.
The support builds as the tour moves west. INTOXICATED are out from the second night onward, NO/MÁS join on September 30, PHANTOM from October 1, and PARABELLUM come aboard for the two California shows.
Kyle Thomas is promising a set that is not the usual one.
"Here we are, folks! It's the last tour of the year for EXHORDER. We are amped to be out with all of the bands on this package!" the vocalist said. "Additionally, we are spicing up the set this time around. Expect to hear some songs you may not have heard us play in some years, and maybe even something this band has never played before! We're also going to have several merch items that are new or haven't been available for quite some time. Let's go!"

EXHORDER formed in 1986 and have one of thrash's more broken timelines behind them. Two albums for Roadrunner — "Slaughter In The Vatican" in 1990 and "The Law" in 1992 — then twenty-seven years of silence, before "Mourn The Southern Skies" landed on Nuclear Blast in October 2019 and was widely argued over as a best-comeback-album contender. More lineup changes and the pandemic followed. "Defectum Omnium", Latin for "the failure of all", arrived in 2024.
Thomas explained that title bluntly at the time: "The world is a dumpster fire, and we are all complicit."
Produced by the band and mixed by Jens Bogren, the record put a foot back in the ground EXHORDER broke to begin with. Blabbermouth wrote that "a long time ago, many of us used to smash up our bedrooms to 'Slaughter In The Vatican'. Age may have withered us slightly, but EXHORDER still has the power to make metal folk disregard their own safety… it spits, it snarls, it has more killer riffs than seems strictly necessary." Distorted Sound found the band had "not lost any of the bite and snarl that have made them such a revered name in heavy music", and The Sleeping Shaman called it "a clear album of the year contender".
