LUGUBRIOUS GARMENT, the new project of Milan-based COSMIC PUTREFACTION / VERTEBRA ATLANTIS creator Gabriele Gramaglia, is streaming "Transient Wounds, Spiritual Wilt," the latest preview of debut album In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night, out October 16 on 20 Buck Spin.

Conceived as an outlet for a more ravenous, instinctive strain of death metal, the project follows 2025's Demo MMXXV with a full-length collision of precision and savagery — serrated riffing, lurching tempos, and flashes of classic heavy and speed metal swallowed by the maelstrom. Gramaglia handles guitars, vocals, bass, and synths, with Claudio Invidia on drums, guest vocals by Yr-nhhngr, strings by Andrea Morgan, and artwork by Mariya Popyk.
"'Transient Wounds, Spiritual Wilt' places itself as the fifth song of the record and presents itself as one of the most relentless tracks, paying tribute to old-schoolish frenzied blackened and death-thrash outfits like AURA NOIR, ARES KINGDOM, and ABSU," Gramaglia writes. "It also features three guitar solos, the last one played by the one and only Giorgio Trombino of ASSUMPTION, that has truly set his 6-stringed weapon on fire with a blazing Rutan-esque run."
