BEHEMOTH played their cover of VENOM's "In League With Satan" live for the first time on Friday, October 9, with DIMMU BORGIR frontman Shagrath joining them on stage at Halle 622 in Zurich, Switzerland. The show opened the European co-headlining run with DIMMU BORGIR that takes its name from the song, with Swedish black metal veterans DARK FUNERAL in support.
Shagrath also sings on the studio version, which closes out BEHEMOTH's eight-song release I, Scvlptor — we covered its arrival in September. At the time, Nergal explained that the tour title came first as a nod to "the gods of satanic rock'n'roll", and that recording the song on seven-string guitars with Shagrath gave it a far heavier weight. He promised then that the band would bring it to the stage, and Zurich was where they made good on it.
The cover wasn't the only premiere of the night. The 14-song set also included the first live outings of the I, Scvlptor title track and "To Drown The Svn In Wine" from 2025's The Shit Ov God.
