METALLICA have released professionally filmed footage of "Lux Æterna" from the third show of their "Life Burns Faster" residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, recorded on October 8.
The short, fast lead single from 2023's 72 Seasons follows a run of Sphere clips the band has been rolling out through October. We recently ran "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" from the second night and "Devil's Dance", after the opening-night videos of "...And Justice For All" and "The Call Of Ktulu".
The residency runs to 24 shows, presented as 12 "No Repeat Weekend" pairs in which the Thursday and Saturday nights share no songs, mirroring the format of the "M72" world tour. After October, METALLICA return to the venue on November 5 and 7, January 28 and 30, and for four weekends across February and March, closing on March 13, 2027.
Sphere, a 17,600-capacity venue just off the Las Vegas Strip, is built around a 16K wraparound screen and its own immersive sound system.
