METALLICA have released professionally filmed footage of "Battery" from the fifth show of their "Life Burns Faster" residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, recorded on October 15.
The opening track of 1986's Master Of Puppets is the latest in a steady stream of residency clips, following "Until It Sleeps", "Leper Messiah" and "Fade To Black".
The residency runs as 12 "No Repeat Weekend" pairs — 24 shows in total — with the Thursday and Saturday nights sharing no songs, the same format the band uses on the "M72" world tour. Spurred on by U2's opening run at the venue in 2023, Lars Ulrich has called Sphere "completely uncharted territory" for the band.
METALLICA are back at Sphere on November 5 and 7, then January 28 and 30, February 4, 6, 18, 20, 25 and 27, and March 4, 6, 11 and 13, 2027, when the residency wraps.
