METALLICA have released pro-shot footage of "Sad But True" from the fifth show of their "Life Burns Faster" residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, filmed on October 15.
The heavyweight opener of 1991's Metallica (the "Black Album") follows hot on the heels of "Battery", shot the same night, and earlier residency clips of "Until It Sleeps" and "Leper Messiah".
The residency is built as 12 "No Repeat Weekend" pairs, 24 shows in all, with the Thursday and Saturday nights of each weekend sharing no songs — the same format the band has used on the "M72" world tour. The 17,600-capacity venue, with its 16K wraparound screen and immersive sound system, puts the visuals front and center, and early reviews have been glowing.
The next two shows are this week, on November 5 and 7. METALLICA then return to Sphere on January 28 and 30, February 4, 6, 18, 20, 25 and 27, and March 4, 6, 11 and 13, 2027, when the residency wraps.
