Spanish atmospheric doom band TODOMAL have released an official live video for "Mare Ignis", the opening track of their latest album, Graveyards Of Joy (Season Of Mist). The performance was filmed during the band's set at Dark Echoes Festival in their native Spain.
The clip shows the song as the full live five-piece plays it: Christopher B. Wildman (guitars, vocals), Mile (bass, vocals), Javier Félez (guitars), Javier "Bud" Martínez (drums) and Cecilia Tallo (synths, vocals). Built around a rising sun, fragile hope and the line "only the brave shall rise", "Mare Ignis" opens Graveyards Of Joy, the final chapter of the trilogy TODOMAL began with Ultracrepidarian (2021) and continued with A Greater Good (2023). We gave the album a 9/10 in our review, and that opener is one of the reasons why.
Since the album came out in July, TODOMAL have played Resurrection Fest and Party.San Open Air and completed a European tour with EVOKEN. Next spring they join MOONSPELL and IOTUNN on the 40-date "God Is A Vampire Tour" across Europe, running from March 4 in Langen, Germany, to April 18 in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Stops include London (March 9), Madrid (March 12), Paris (March 16), Berlin (March 21), Warsaw (April 7) and Stockholm (April 13). We ran the full itinerary when the tour was announced; tickets are available at moonspell.com.
