The new full-length from Swiss hard rockers, "Domino Effect," was released after a two-year gap following the multi-platinum "Lipservice" (2004). The band faced a very serious challenge of not falling flat on their face after such a successful album. Fortunately for the group, and even more fortunately for their numerous fans, GOTTHARD handled their task with flying colors.

On this already twelfth (!!!) album, the Swiss offer 15 songs with a total running time of 58 minutes. Among them, Falling, The Call, Letter To A Friend, Tomorrows Just Begun, and Where Is Love When Its Gone are magnificent signature ballads of the kind the band has been renowned for over two decades. Excellent hit-worthy rockers like Gone Too Far, Domino Effect, Come Alive — no album by a band aspiring to hard rock stardom should be without them. And even despite the somewhat filler-ish The Cruiser (Judgement Day), Heal Me, and Bad To The Bone, I can state with a clear conscience that with this new album GOTTHARD have cemented their place on the hard rock Olympus even more firmly and show no intention of giving up their position. All that remains for us is to wait and watch for newcomers who might be able to dethrone the legendary Swiss stalwarts and show them up.
