ORPHANED LAND frontman Kobi Farhi will release an English-language edition of his memoir, "The Jewish Muezzin: Radical Sanity In An Orphaned Land," on October 7 via Lemon Soul Publishing, with the book set to reach retailers including Waterstones and Amazon.

The memoir traces Farhi's life from his childhood in Jaffa, growing up amid the region's long-running conflicts, through his founding of ORPHANED LAND, the Israeli metal band that has built its identity around blending Middle Eastern folk instrumentation with progressive and death metal, and around using music as a vehicle for dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians. The book documents the band's efforts, over three decades, to foster coexistence and unity across regional divides through its music and live shows, which have drawn audiences from across the region and beyond.

"I remain convinced that music is one of the greatest forces for bringing people together, and the finest medicine for humanity," Farhi said of the book. "My memoir offers a powerful lesson in music's ability to heal, to create dialogue, and foster friendship across divides."

Founded in 1991, ORPHANED LAND has built a body of work including albums such as "Mabool" (2004) and "All Is One" (2013) that explicitly engage with themes of shared Abrahamic heritage and regional peace, drawing on Farhi's own background and worldview. The band has toured extensively across Europe and the Middle East and has often spoken about the challenges and significance of playing shows that bring together fans from communities in conflict.

The English-language release of "The Jewish Muezzin" extends that mission into print, offering Farhi's own account of the personal history behind ORPHANED LAND's music and its message, aimed at readers beyond the band's existing fanbase.
