Metalcore band MISS MAY I has announced their new album, "No Place For Me," due October 2 via Solid State Records, alongside a music video for lead single "Sanctuary."

The album follows 2022's "Curse Of Existence" and marks the band's first full-length with new guitarist Elisha Mullins, who joined after original guitarists B.J. Stead and Justin Aufdemkampe departed in 2024. Working as a four-piece for the first time, the band leaned into soundscape experimentation across the new material, a process that took roughly two years. Nick Sampson, who has handled production duties since the band's second album, again worked on the record.

Vocalist Levi Benton said "Sanctuary" explores a cycle of internal conflict he has struggled with for years: "It's a cycle I've struggled with my whole life and I think a lot of people know exactly what that feels like." Speaking about the album as a whole, he added: "Writing it taught me who I actually am even when that hurt to look at. It's a full journey."

Benton also pointed to a shift in how the band was able to work this time around, contrasting it with more rushed timelines in the past. Recalling guidance from the label, he said the message was simply: "Turn it in when you guys are ready. This is so nice."

MISS MAY I's lineup is rounded out by drummer Jerod Boyd and bassist Ryan Neff. Formed in Troy, Ohio in 2007, the band built its name as part of the metalcore scene's mid-2010s wave alongside labelmates on Solid State Records, and "No Place For Me" marks the band's first release built around its current four-piece configuration rather than the twin-guitar setup fans grew up with.

"No Place For Me" is due October 2 via Solid State Records.
