The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame will open a new exhibit titled "Women In Metal: You Will Know My Name" on July 10, dedicated to celebrating pioneering female artists across the metal genre's history. The exhibit was curated by Rock Hall assistant curator Haley Cronin, who framed the project as long overdue recognition: "Women have been pivotal influencers and changemakers in the metal genre since its inception."

The showcase spans multiple generations of metal, spotlighting figures including LITA FORD, LZZY HALE of HALESTORM, ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ of ARCH ENEMY and DRAGONFORCE, and COURTNEY LAPLANTE of SPIRITBOX, among other artists whose work has shaped the genre's evolution.

The public opening will be marked by a celebration on the museum's outdoor PNC Stage, beginning with an acoustic set from LZZY HALE and HALESTORM guitarist Joe Hottinger, followed by live performances from metal bands Storms Within, Maxlla and Reign Of Z. HALE expressed enthusiasm about being part of the honor, saying: "I'm so proud to be a part of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame's 'Women In Metal' exhibit."

Tickets for the showcase and dedication ceremony, which begins at 7:00 p.m., are priced at $15, while an Event Plus ticket for $40 includes museum access from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. along with admission to the new exhibit itself. Tickets are available now through the Rock Hall's box office.

The exhibit arrives at a moment when metal's historically male-dominated narrative has increasingly been challenged by both new acts and institutional recognition of the women who built and sustained the genre for decades — often without receiving comparable attention to their male peers. By anchoring the exhibit to a live performance lineup that spans from arena rock veterans to a new generation of metal and metalcore acts, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is positioning "Women In Metal" as both a historical retrospective and an active celebration of the artists still shaping the genre today.
