With SEPULTURA's farewell tour "Celebrating Life Through Death" entering its final North American leg, guitarist Andreas Kisser has opened up about what awaits him beyond the band's dissolution. Speaking to media during the run, Kisser was characteristically philosophical about the uncertainty ahead: "The only thing I'm sure that's gonna be a new phase, and that's enough, and we'll see where these new roads will take me."

SEPULTURA's final chapter has been both prolific and poignant. The band released their farewell EP "The Cloud Of Unknowing" on April 24 via Nuclear Blast Records — a four-track effort that Kisser describes as "very spontaneous" and free from commercial constraints: "It doesn't have any attachment to any strategy or marketing or whatever." The EP serves as a powerful coda to one of metal's most enduring legacies.

The band is also undertaking an ambitious recording project: 40 songs captured in 40 different cities across the farewell tour, intended for a commemorative live album. The final North American leg kicks off April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey, and concludes May 29 in Los Angeles. Support comes from EXODUS, BIOHAZARD, and TRIBAL GAZE.

Beyond SEPULTURA, Kisser keeps himself active with multiple projects: the Latin metal supergroup DE LA TIERRA, his KISSER CLAN project, and a radio show he has co-hosted with his son for 14 years. He has also founded a cultural movement in Brazil focused on death and dying as subjects of open societal discourse, inspired by the passing of his late wife Patricia.

SEPULTURA was founded in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1984 and became one of the most influential metal bands in history, helping define thrash, groove metal, and world metal on albums like "Beneath The Remains," "Arise," and "Roots."
