Former ANTHRAX vocalist John Bush has expressed genuine interest in a unique multi-vocalist event that would bring together himself, Joey Belladonna, and Neil Turbin — all three men who have fronted the New York thrash legends at various points in the band's career.
In a new interview with The Metal Voice, Bush looked back on his celebrated December 2025 "Celebrating The Songs Of Anthrax" shows, where he performed material from his four ANTHRAX albums — 'Sound Of White Noise,' 'Stomp 442,' 'Volume 8: The Threat Is Real,' and 'We've Come For You All' — backed by his CATEGORY 7 bandmates Phil Demmel, Mike Orlando, Jason Bittner, and Joey Vera.
"The shows were amazing. All three of 'em were great. It was a lot of fun. I think for the fans, a lot of those people probably felt like they may never hear those songs live again, and so there was a lot of emotion in the crowd from hearing those tunes," Bush said.
When asked about the possibility of a multi-vocalist event, Bush was encouraging: "I would like to do that. I think it would be fun for the fans. And there's a special connection with people who were fans during those different eras."
Bush will perform his ANTHRAX material at Milwaukee Metal Fest, alongside ARMORED SAINT the following day. He noted a new ARMORED SAINT album is in progress, creating some scheduling constraints, but stressed: "The songs are not going anywhere — let's face it. I'm glad I finally did it. And I wanna do more."
