MOTIONLESS IN WHITE have announced their new studio album Decades, scheduled for release on July 17, 2026 via Roadrunner Records. The 14-track album marks the band's most ambitious project to date and arrives backed by a high-profile collaboration: "Playing God" features none other than Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR fame.
The announcement comes alongside the premiere of "Playing God" as the lead single, which the band describes as one of the most sonically diverse tracks on the album. Taylor's presence on the record is a significant statement — his guttural range and melodic versatility pair with frontman Chris Motionless in a way that feels both natural and electrifying.
Decades represents MOTIONLESS IN WHITE's continued evolution away from the pure metalcore template into something harder to categorize — drawing from industrial metal, nu-metal, and gothic rock simultaneously. Early listens suggest the album swings between crushing heaviness and cinematic atmosphere.
The band, formed in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2005, has steadily grown from a regional hardcore scene act into one of the most streamed metal bands on Spotify. Their previous album Scoring the End of the World (2022) debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart.
Tracklist and pre-order details for Decades are now live. The album title appears to nod to the band's two-decade-spanning career, from their early screamo roots to the polished heavy metal machine they are today. A full North American tour is expected to follow the release this summer.
