Three of Norway's most legendary black metal bands — DIMMU BORGIR, SATYRICON, and ENSLAVED — will share a stage for the first time in a show billed as "the biggest black metal event ever staged on Norwegian soil." Unholy Halloween takes place at Oslo Spektrum on October 31, 2026.
DIMMU BORGIR's Shagrath promises "the biggest DIMMU BORGIR production to date." SATYRICON's Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven calls the event their "Super Bowl," noting the three bands had explored this collaboration around two decades ago without managing to pull it off. ENSLAVED's Ivar Bjørnson is brief and to the point: "We will bring our best game as always… and then some."
The show marks DIMMU BORGIR's first headline performance in Oslo in 15 years. The band previously brought the Norwegian Radio Orchestra to the same venue for their last major homecoming — this time, the spectacle promises to go even further.
For context: DIMMU BORGIR's new album Grand Serpent Rising drops via Nuclear Blast Records on May 22. SATYRICON remain one of black metal's most artistically uncompromising acts, while ENSLAVED have spent the last decade pushing the genre into progressive and experimental territory with consistently acclaimed results.
Oslo Spektrum holds around 9,000 people. Demand from the global black metal community alone is likely to push tickets to sell out extremely fast. For fans of Norwegian metal, this is a once-in-a-generation event.
