Andrey Lanin: I am sure everyone knows me pretty well. MENTAL DISSECTION has never been a full scale band, a kind of a project managed by me, including music, lyrics, everything.

Ind: MENTAL DISSECTION, MENTAL DEMISE, MENTAL ABERRATION… So many mentals…

Andrey Lanin: Yep, I could also add more. Initially we had two variants - LIVING DISSECTION and MERNTAL FUNERAL. Which more we weren't picking moniker for our own band, we were named EXHUMATOR. Later on we applied to such a symbiosis.

Ind: I admire your underground activity. In spite of all difficulties you haven't lost the zest to brutal metal!

Andrey Lanin: I cannot otherwise. I respect people who follow their way. Yes, very often we meet difficulties and cannot complete all our ideas but I cannot sit twiddling my thumbs, it is my core interest!

Ind: Tell us in details about UG TRIBUTE TO CANNIBAL CORPSE. How is the progress of the project?

Andrey Lanin: Such an idea occurred due to McDie (NECROPSY band) from Voronezh. It looks like it is his idea. Unfortunately bands are too slow to send their covers or maybe they cannot cover CC properly! I hope to complete the project in a year or so.

Ind: You also run a zine. Do you manage to cover your material expenses or at least moral ones. I have also heard you're gonna change its ideology.

Andrey Lanin: I just cover my expenses and that's it. My zine is made for no profit. UG should have no profit. Yes, the next NORD Zine will reflect some of my personal ideas and many won't like it. Thus I will obtain my own appearance devoid of masks.

Ind: MENTAL DISSECTION is your main brand offspring. How is the band doing right now?

Andrey Lanin: It looks like my main offspring is surviving many problems. I discharged bass player and drummer and started looking for musicians. There are no good musicians in Krasnodar eager and ready to play death metal. I hope to be lucky and I need to rely on myself or become a tutor for youngsters.

Ind: Oh, can we expect any new material recorded? Do you intend to raise sound quality?

Andrey Lanin: First of all I would love to resume playing gigs. Sooner or later I will get to studio of course. In Krasnodar I can hardly have death metal recorded properly. It is balancing between quality and opportunities. But still I am all for positive changes.

Ind: You are stubborn in using Russian lyrics. Some people say it is out of date, the others insist that it is original alright.

Andrey Lanin: I love Russian language used for extreme metal. My thoughts are expressed clearly then and I don't give a damn about what people think and say.

Ind: The truth is I love hearing native language used by MENTAL DISSECTION yet sometimes I hang on words not on music.

Andrey Lanin: Both words and music are important for me. In case you hang on words, then music could have been better. I shall improve it then!

Ind: I saw one of your flyers, a girl with naked breasts before the board "Krasnodar". Where did you pick that slut?

Andrey Lanin: I don't know her. I found the foto by chance and didn't lose the chance to insert it into our flyer.

Ind: Your flyers are also embellished wish bloody pictures.

Andrey Lanin: The drawing were made by Shurk Exhumer from Orel Region. Further on my zine will throw a light on his creativity - drawing and comics.

Ind: What does influence you?

Andrey Lanin: The press, TV, criminal reports… Well our creativity is an outer insight, dark reality reflection.
