Stanislav Chernysh: Hallo everybody and first of all old school admirers! Well, initially we meant dirty reality or obscure reality butlater on we switched from melodic death metal to brutal one and I believe exorbitance is a good word for such music.

Ind: How and why did you pick such genre, death metal is not so popular as in early 90's, still many new death metaloccur now.

Stanislav Chernysh: We don't care much about popularity, we believe in underground and extreme music was always our favorite. Sincewe've taken instruments we know that death metal is exactly our core. Well any genre has got peak of popularity but it's notthe reason to drop it. I feel that metal music has a considerable demand nowadays.

Ind: But death metal has also changed considerably. As I see it, you are more into old school.

Stanislav Chernysh: Yeah, I appreciate classic death metal or maybe modern classic, which is more rich emotionally, check out freshCzech and Polish meat! And classical is also very perceptible, original which I value. New modern death metal experimentsare just not to my liking, except SOILWORK which is perfect indeed.

Ind: I cannot say our death metal bands were a big success, and new bands have more and more difficulties. Do you thinkyou'll be a success someday, do you have big expectations?

Stanislav Chernysh: Well, yeah, our bands have never been lucky and very often had tight budget to produce a qualified recording. Stillmany of them had brilliant ideas and their music was fantastic, so I like imperfect sound of TALES OF DARKNORD more thanrefined THRONE OF CHAOS. Hopes and expectations, I just don't waste my time for hopes, I estimate my plans, expect nosupport, just do something.

Ind: What do you do then?

Stanislav Chernysh: We have prepared demo 2003 which includes studio and live tracks and send promos. We also play many gigs andperform BRUTAL FUCKING Fest and think to make BRUTAL FUCKING Open Air as well.

Ind: Yep, playing gigs is very important. But you also have to record you stuff very good. Otherwise there's no band ifyou have not got an album.

Stanislav Chernysh: Two bandmembers try very hard? Morbus and me. The rest are not so eager. Well, we put by money, compose goodsongs, purchase instruments, check out various studios and scrutinize drum machine.

Ind: Okay, then you will start full scale promotion.

Stanislav Chernysh: Of course. I'll be searching for a deal and sending tons of promos abroad, distributing our flyers and touring.

Ind: Aha, so you've mentioned "abroad". Then you have be original enough to kick ass!

Stanislav Chernysh: There's no need to be too original. We intend to be powerful, energetic and evil. We hope to be very brutal withvocals and fast with guitars and beautiful with solos.

Ind: Many top class bands got disbanded or split up, why do such things happen, it can't be because they achievedeverything.

Stanislav Chernysh: It might be a dirty deception. Right I'm very frustrated to hear this of that band split up and its former membersquit metal music.

Ind: Let's finish the interview with you festival. I consider it a good jumping-off place for your band and a positiveexperience.

Stanislav Chernysh: Right, a jumping-off place - a good word. We started in October 2003 and this April we are performing #3 whichmeans BRUTAL FUCKING Fest is a popular gig supported by many fanzines. I hope foreign zines will also get interested. Weagreed to perform our festival every quarter. The goal of our festival is to promote various UG bands and to find more fansand to establish as many contacts as possible.
